OHANIAN EDUCATIONAL CENTERS

for Environmental Studies

Built in 2005 and 2012, the Michael and Virginia Ohanian Centers for Environmental Studies are described as “living laboratories” for environmental education in Lori and Aragatsotn marzes of Armenia. Trainings and workshops are conducted throughout the year and educational programming originating in the Centers is offered at schools throughout Armenia. Over 32,000 students have visited the Centers as of 2018.

The Karin center is located in the heart of ATP’s Karin Nursery, where children can observe all stages of propagation and growth. The Margahovit center boasts an experimental garden, supplemented by an outdoor classroom sponsored by the Bilezikian family from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
