Armenia Tree Project Plants Over 708,000 Trees During 2025 Spring Season

This spring, Armenia Tree Project completed its largest single-season planting effort to date: more than 708,000 trees put into the ground across dozens of communities in nine regions of the country.

The season drew on ATP's full production and planting network — seedlings grown across four nurseries and a web of backyard growers, moved to restoration sites, schoolyards, and community green spaces, and planted with the help of hundreds of seasonal workers and volunteers.

Beyond the raw number, ATP tracked survival planning into every site — species selection, watering schedules, and community maintenance agreements were finalized before a single seedling went into the ground, following lessons learned from prior seasons.

With the spring season closed, ATP's teams are already preparing seed collection and nursery production for the fall planting cycle, aiming to keep pace with the country's growing demand for restoration.
