Visit the Betty Howell Nursery in Chiva, ATP’s premier site for fruit tree propagation, which supplies our Community Tree Planting sites across Armenia. You’ll also have the chance to tour Armenia’s stunning Noravank Monastery and explore the historic Areni Cave, home to the country’s oldest winery, offering a fascinating glimpse into Armenia's rich cultural and archaeological heritage.

Explore ATP’s flagship John and Artemis Mirak Nursery, where one million trees are grown annually to support afforestation efforts in Armenia. In Margahovit, discover the Bilezikian Greenhouse and Ohanian Environmental Education Center, and meet local Eco Club members to learn about their initiatives and enjoy student performances, with an opportunity to try traditional Armenian dances. Visit the Hrant Dink Forest, Armenia’s first successful community forest, and learn about its upcoming handover to the Margahovit community. On the way, we’ll stop at the breathtaking Lake Sevan for a scenic break and exploration.

Visit ATP’s innovative Backyard Nursery model and meet the families benefiting from this program, which enables them to generate income by selling seedlings for ATP forestry projects. In the afternoon, enjoy a lively village celebration at the local school, which also serves as the mayor’s office, where you’ll connect with villagers and BYN beneficiaries to hear about their transformative success stories. For those seeking more adventure, an optional morning hike with HIKE Armenia to Aghavnavank Monastery offers a beautiful 3-hour trek, followed by the village celebration with the BYN families.

Be part of history as we plant ATP’s 9 Millionth tree at Semonian Park, followed by a reception with food and drinks. Hear from ATP representatives and partners about our 30-year impact on Armenia’s environment and forests, and our vision for the future. Visit Karin Nursery for an open house and ceremonial ribbon cutting at the Resilient Roots Ceramics Studio, with donor Karen Jehanian. Explore the nursery, the Bruce and LuAnn Ohanian Center, and our four greenhouses, and take part in hands-on workshops with our nursery and ceramics staff. Finish the day with a local Armenian wine tasting.

Spend a relaxing day exploring the vibrant city of Yerevan at your own pace. In the evening, join us for a memorable 30th Anniversary Party at Zithopia Restaurant in the heart of Yerevan, where we’ll celebrate our milestones and honor those who’ve made a lasting impact.

Take a tour of the historic Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia’s most iconic cultural sites. Then, visit ATP’s Khachpar Nursery to see the cultivation of decorative trees, evergreens, and shrubs for our Community Tree Planting sites. After the tour, enjoy a warm, traditional Armenian lunch at the home of ATP’s Country Director, Rousanne, and her family.
